Sunday

It's so important to me to capture the sweet moments in our crazy life, but sometimes it's 2:30 and I haven't scrubbed my teeth or brushed my hair because my sick little girls have needed me every minute of the day.  So I sit here basically stewing in my own filth and nurse my babies and think well, maybe this moment is worth sharing, too.

Sickly

Best cure for a cold?  Hang out in a steamy bathroom.  In a shower cap, of course.

Post nap snuggles

I only wish you could hear the chorus of purring and Arthur's whispered "Oh Mo!  I yove you!  You're so softy!"

Rub a dub dub

Three babies in the tub!  First time ever - do you think they had fun?!

(Also had Norah's first poop in the tub.  Which Cecily tried to pick up and eat.  OMG.)

Life with Cecily Jane

These have all been sent to you separately (except the outlet one because that was too omg even for me), but just wanted to be sure you were getting a comprehensive picture of what's going on.

This girl may be the death of me, and that's something considering I'm Arthur's mom.

(also know that outlet  covers are back in, the stairway gate is ready to be reinstalled and I'm resigned to watch her like a hawk for the rest of my life.)

Opposites

Norah sits happily in the hallway playing with one or two toys.

I had to bring Cecily into the craft room after she dumped the toy bin and then pulled up on the stairway gate.  She proceeded to empty every shelf onto the floor.

Helper

Norah folds diapers.  What would I do without her?

(While I snapped this Cecily opened the wipes, pulled out a dozen or so and started eating them.)

Trial Separation

Cecily and Daddy are heading to Home Depot to buy a new dishwasher while the rest of the family takes a nap.

It is the first time the girls have been in different places since the 24 hours they spent apart when Ceci came home from the hospital before Norah.  Other than that, they have never been without the other.

Can't wait to hear about her adventure!

Trouble

Art and I were getting ready to put the girls to bed so we put them on the floor in their room.  We came around the corner to see this in the hallway.  We are in so much trouble with this one.

(This is the hall gate not the stairway one - don't want to give anyone a heart attack!)

Daddy's Valentines

Pretty sure I'm not this guy's Number One Valentine anymore.  (I'll settle for third.)

Valentine Gigis

Pink heart pancakes for my Valentines.  I've lost count of how many years I've made them now, but I'm pretty sure this year they were the sweetest.

An extra photo attached titled "Holy moly this looks dangerous tell me again who is supposed to be watching these kids."

Arthur made lunch.

"I'm gonna make do dos and pasta and soup and drink diet coke!"

I was seriously tempted to refuse to eat it and demand "different noodles" and "the bread I ate yesterday."

Also good to know that in his mind ice cream is an acceptable meal for his sisters.  "They yike it!" (They do.)

He is now in Art's office demanding "You come eat!  Dinner is ready!"

Beautiful Norah

There aren't usually many quiet moments in our days, but sometimes  life slows down just enough that I can see the beauty in this chaos.

Brothers Forever

It's been just a few days more than six months that I spent an impossibly difficult Friday night with my sweet boy.  It's still very painful to remember, but I know that it was a beautiful gift that by morning we were absolutely certain that he was ready to move from this world to the next.  Not a day passes that I don't miss this guy but I know his spirit stays close - this week Arthur asked where Compy went and nodded in agreement when I told him that he was always in his heart.  Brothers forever - best guardian angel ever.

Arthur says

Mama, Norah's cryin.  Her needs more milk.

Mama, Ceci tired.  I gonna put her for a nap.

I make you some tea.  Drink it, it's delicious.

Star Wars

Very special night for these boys.  Staying up late to watch Star Wars for the first time.  They've been waiting their whole lives for this.

Snow day

Very blessed to work from home 4 days a week, but when my office day turns into a snow day I'm especially thankful for hours of (mostly) uninterrupted work in sweats and fuzzy socks.  Not to mention getting to take a break with these guys.
