Big kid bed

It seems like yesterday he spent his first night in his crib and I watched him sleep for hours on the video monitor.  Tonight is his first night in a big kid bed and it seems there's nothing better on tv and man oh man I must have gotten something in my eye.

Boys only

These cats have been waiting two and a half years for this.

Spring

Nothing says spring like Ralph Lauren pastels and jeggings.

Hot Date

Half of a community church's matinee of Peter Pan, hot dogs for lunch and a stop to pick up cupcakes.  A far cry from a night on Broadway, but absolutely one of the best dates I've ever had.

(I even had to agree when he told me "Mama!  Let's go home, I miss my girls and Daddy!")

There is no food in this house!

First Family Breakfast

Pancakes and waffles - Gramma Gregg's recipe of course!!!  (Although minus the spatula of margarine!)

Do you think they liked them?

Vader and Son

Even though Arthur talked a big game about meeting Darth Vader, he had an epic "He's too scary!  I don't yike him!  I want to go home!" meltdown as we waited in line.  But when our turn came, after watching Art pose for a photo, he reached out his arms and  faced his fear.  Darth Vader even got a high five.

Sometimes it feels like these days of caring for babies will be endless, but then there are these moments when I can see a little boy growing up.  What an honor it is to be a part of it.

Arthur says

You yisten to me!  I'm not funny, I'm a nice guy!

Don't cry, Darth Vader not scary!

Mama, we'll figure this out!  I think we need the screwdriver.

It's the weekend!

No work for us today!

Peace

This moment brought to you by the miracle of simultaneous naptime.

Best Brother

"CECI!  Don't touch that!   It's dangerous!  Mama, Ceci gonna get hurt!  She not yistening!"

What a brother.
